5 out of 5 stars PSP X2 or Elements 6   September 1, 2008
1 out of 2 found this review helpful

Try before you buy. Both of these products have 30 day free trials and each have pros and cons. I have seen a number of comments about PSP X2 slowing your system down and to opt for Elements. I found the exact opposite. Elements had me pulling my hair out waiting to even load pictures into it, whereas PSP X2 was very straightforward and it has far more powerful features for the serious user.

2 out of 5 stars Does not support Canon 450D   August 13, 2008

Good product but does not support Canon 450D raw files, Corel say it'll be in the next release but will not say when that will be. So I bought Element 6, this does support the 450D and seems to be a much better product.

2 out of 5 stars corel x2 23/07/2008   July 23, 2008
installed having read & matched the spec req, downloaded trial version
it looked good wanted to transfer raw files which it did then the whole programme froze up!!
Its a pity these programme companies dont sell a very basic version that is simple & fun to use,try to contact corel within there website well it would be easier to knit fog!
If u want a fun and simple to use programme then this is not for you

1 out of 5 stars Disappointing   June 23, 2008

I had used PSP since version 4. This one is the first since Corel took over and it will be the last. Apart from "gloss" there is little or no more functionality than there was in version 9. Corel support is useless - they will (it says) only support technical issues on a fee paying basis. They are supposed to support installation issues, but my question about the registration nag screen appearing although the product is registered has not been answered (except for the auto acknowledgement. There are much better imaging editors out there for comparable or even lower prices.

1 out of 5 stars Ruined by Corel   June 17, 2008

I have been a long standing user of PSP but once Corel got thier hands on it it's all over.
PSP was a byword for effective, efficient and inexpensive photo editing software. Now it is none of these. Bloatware springs to mind and not cheap either. Do yourself a favour and find an old copy of PSP 7 it will do everything you ask and it will even run off your USB stick.
If you reaaly want to spend the cash, spend it on photoshop elements 6 or save your pennies for a few months and go for the full photoshop. Corel Photoshop is just waiting to drag your system down
