A super piece of software that grows on you with use and understanding of its many features. the all sky mosaic alows considerable zooming in to reveal wonderful colour and detail. higher spec processors will undoubtedly do even more justice than my modest laptop albeit with 1 gig ram. there are many many options to this software and its ideal to take you deeper into astronomy.what i particularly like are the direct links to the internet to view current or upcoming astronomical events. the all sky mosaic clinches it for me!

The troubles using Starry night with Vista seem to be achieving solution.
The problems with Vista seem mostly related to graphics card drivers: update them, and all should be well.

I have just bought Starry Night Pro Plus v.6 and cannot use it with Windows Vista Home Premium. I tried to load it using windows compatibility option (Windows XP with Service Pack 2)but that has sent my system haywire and I've had to restore it. I appreciate that the system requirements do not specify Windows Vista, but version 6 was released about the same time as Vista. There should be a specific warning that this software is NOT yet compatible with Vista.
