2 out of 5 stars Poor   December 25, 2007

I purchased the movie converter for psp and ipod and was looking forward to using it. However i haven't got to that stage yet due to there being no 5th set of serial digits. I have just emailed gsp and am still waiting for a response!
Also I have read some of the other reviews and it seems that it doesn't actually convert dvd's as it misleadingly encourages you to believe!!!

POOR, looks like a waste of money before ive even tried it!!!!! =[

5 out of 5 stars Does exactly what it says   November 30, 2007

I also had the problem where the last part of the serial number was missing but I just went on to the GSP website and they responded within half an hour so I don't think its fair to give a poor rating because of this.

Also you can't convert copy protected DVDs but I wouldn't have expected to.

Its very easy to use and install, no complaints so far.

2 out of 5 stars One word - rubbish   October 17, 2007

Well,it may convert your own movie files , and it does.It may also put them on your psp or ipod , and it does. But can i ask this - does it convert dvds ??Oh no , it doesn't ,yet it claims this on the front and back ,by sayng "handles ALL formats " and "allows you to decode dvds" and "select a dvd ...convert the files"
But wait , when it arrives through the door and you open it,right at the bottom of the box in the smallest, tiniest, most minute writing"this prohibits copying content of a cd/dvd".Damn it , i 've just wasted nearly 20.
I'm sorry amazon that i have to say this , but i have lost trust in you. When i was looking for a dvd to psp converter on your website, and i typed in "dvd converter", the FIRST thing that came up was this product.have you not realised that it does NOT convert dvds ????
Along side the above , the whole process was very slow and is not that easy to work.
To conclude,
DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT TO CONVERT DVD !!!!

This may sound like an advert, but this really does what it says on the pack.
It take about 1hr and a half to do 1 movie and does every dvd without copy protection (burnt, pirated, etc...)
definatly a buy for any ipod video or psp owner

If you can't get this to work because of protection try downloading CSS & Region Free. You can find a trial version at www.free-codecs.com/download/DVD_Region_CSS_Free.htm
It's allready to go following installation. If it doesn't recognise your burning software go to the main menu and select 'programme' and then select your burner software from your drive and 'add' When the free trial is over the window will pop up to ask you to buy. Click Free Trial and the programme will continue to run - least it does or me. Virus check before installing too!
