Movie Magic Screenwriter 6 sets a new standard - it's hard to see how it can get much better. Without a doubt the most useful, flexible, and simple to use screenwriting software out there. No need to consider anything else.

I think my review sits squarely between the two other reviewers.
Honestly, MM is a very safe, solid program with intuitive tools. It is simple to use. Its features are genuinely useful. It IS used by a lot of people in the industry: normally either this or Final Draft.
I really think that if you're serious about screenwriting you should probably own this AND Final Draft (for compatibility) but that Movie Magic is probably the better of the two. Your director will almost certainly work with one or other program and using either software is better than sticking to MS Word and hoping the formatting will work (it won't).

I purchased this software to try out before I began a new project and unfortunately did not do my research before purchasing. I was completely unimpressed with its outdated interface and found none of my professional colleagues use the software (and never even heard of it), so it?s nearly impossible to write collaboratively on a project. I also realized it was called screenwriter 2000; but it seems it lost the ?2000? because it has been over 5 years and it?s the same program. It will format your screenplay, but it?s not what everyone uses and it?s old stuff. Ask around, there are alternatives you should seriously consider.

The best screenwriting program ever. It continues to get even better. If you want a program that can do everthing and then some, don't miss this one. After trying them all, I finally struck Gold as so many TOP screenwriters have, by buying this best value for money program. Don't be fool by the other worthless money makers out there. Get something that will serve you well and do everything you want it to do. If you are tired of pulling your hair out, buy this program. You wont be sorry. Put an end to searching for better programs by buying THE BEST OF THE BEST.
