Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.co.uk Review
Netshop Lite by SolarSoft is an amazingly simple tool for creating an e-commerce site for small or home-based businesses. There is no need to understand HTML or any programming at all. The entire process is point-and-click with wizards for everything you need. Complete templates with navigation buttons are included in the Netshop Lite package. When your content is complete, publishing is just as easy, with a one-button File Transfer Protocol (FTP) application built right in. The Web site you create will work on any ISP, no matter what operating system it uses. And, just in case you don't have an ISP already, Netshop Lite includes a CD for a free Internet service.

On the downside, templates are fairly limited and some might easily run for "Worst Site Design" awards. In order to better tailor the design of your own site you might want some HTML and graphics knowledge. In testing we found it difficult to work the database tool when making corrections to product numbering and images. It would have been easier to just open the database in Microsoft Access and make the changes there. Finally, since this is the "lite" version of Netshop, there is no ordering facility on the site you create. It is expected that customers will e-mail you or send their orders via postal mail. For the full e-commerce experience you need to upgrade to the full version of Netshop. --Elizabeth Wall
