Best there is! June 5, 2008 FPC Creator is THE game making tool for beginners! When it was released a few years ago it did have its problems but with the huge list of updates that have gone into the engine possibilities have really risen. Out of the box it has a fair selection of 3D models but lately a store has been integrated into FPC Creator itself letting you buy game ready model at very low cost. There are also around 20 large official model packs released, also at a low cost. I have bought most of these myself. At the bottom line FPS Creator is mostly for the hobbyist game maker but is an excellent learning experience that I would recommend to anyone interested in game design.
Bugs Bugs Bugs February 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you think about it making games is cool but including this game engine don't go there, the company is cheeky and rude and the software full of bugs. The software is good without the bugs but you won't get rid of them
Worst game engine ever! September 5, 2007 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
This has to be the worst game engine ever. If you go on to their homepage the screenshots look really impressive and you start to get these delusions that making a commercial game with this is going to be easy, but you soon find out that you are wrong. The files sizes are huge and a single level game can take well over 40 minutes to load. On top of that the lag is unbelievable and you are lucky to ever get your frame rate over 10 per second. These are just a few of the many bugs with this engine, but have they tried to sort them out? No, instead they are working on a new version of it that you have to buy along with a new computer to use. Any dreams of selling a game with this are nothing more than that and the very few games that have had a commercial release have all been flops. What makes matters worse is that their forums are moderated by people who enjoy insulting new members. Try asking a question on there and see how much support you won't get! If you really want an FPS engine and don't want to try any of the big ones or learn programming, go for Silent Walk FPS Creator. Although the graphics aren't as good as FPSC the frame rate and engine as a whole is a lot better. Silent Walk are also going to be releasing a new version soon that will hang FPSC out to dry.
Best game creator EVER!!! January 1, 2007 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
First of all, if you have no computer programing experience that doesn't matter because it's very easy to use and fast. Secondly, The gameplay and graphics are very good and you can sell your game you make or give it to your friends as there is no licencing. Also, you can create your own models so you can put your face texture in the game and make it as a character. Finally, I think it's a extremly good game and well worth the price for anybody who does or doesn't like FPS games.
