CompositeLab is a great piece of software at an unbelievably low price. Where certain compositing tools cost a multiple of it, CompositeLab reaches and sometimes even surpasses them in power, easy-of-use and flexibility.
The incorporated filters include grading, masking and all kinds of different compositing filters suitable for almost every kind of footage. It has been specifically designed to work with DV footage, which still often gives bad results with other software because of the different color sampling. CompositeLab has grading filter which allow to improve the color info your footage before applying the key, so you can get clean results even at badly light green screens or blue screens.
The incorporated garbate mattes are fantastic for hand drawn masks and even make complex rotoscoping a job of minutes instead of hours because of it's flexible keyframe system.
Apart from the fact it runs a bit slower then other packages - which I'm sure will change with future updates, fxhome made a gold mine for filmmakers here who want to have big budget results on a low budget price.
