Reliable October 11, 2008 Very good for beginners. Its quite durable incase it falls off your desk or whatever, hasnt broke on me yet after over a year.
The only problem with it, is that it sometimes jumps about the screen.. Unplugging it and putting it back in should do the trick, or re-callibrating it. (something you can do in mere seconds)
Good buy
I love it :D May 4, 2008 I got this as a birthday present today and it's really great! It's a bit small but at least it's portable with my laptop :) It's fiddly at first, but you learn quickly. I'm even writing this review with the handwriting recognition! It's great for the price and so far I've had no problems. It's brilliant:
Horrible little tablet May 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have an A3 Wacom Intuos at home but I spend a lot of time on the road and so I wanted a travel tablet to fit in my laptop case. This looked like it fitted the bill so I got one.
The Volito2 is a very attractive tablet - it looks great next to my laptop and is sturdy and well made.
Unfortunately I find it very hard to use. The sensitivity (even when set to its softest settings) is poor, I found that I had to press much harder than I was used to to get a line, and once I got that line it would be at maximum thickness almost instantly. So I tried a harder setting, I could get better control of line thickness but had to press so hard to get a line at all that I found it impossible to draw.
The drawing area itself is tiny in proportion to the tablet size.
My impression is that this is a tablet to replace a mouse rather than a tablet to use for any art.
Eventually I gave up and have sold it, spending 5 pounds more on the Aiptek slim tablet 600u which is a joy to use.
Great choice! Great software! Great everything! March 24, 2008 I'm a Vista user and I have used this for almost two years. I'm never going to need another one again. I haven't been tempted by any other type. This tablet doesn't even need the software disc. But if you want some of the full blown features of this incredible piece of kit, then you'll need to download the vista driver from the Wacom website. It's very easy. I assure you that my Vista Ultimate has got a lot of fun from this. There's good tablet pc support on Vista, you can use the write to text feature. You can use 'flicks' which are most useful for scrolling up and down. There is free software to download with the download code you uncover through the tutorial with the supplied disc. Such as Artrage (which I must say looks most realistic for the developing artist. Windows Live Messenger, or well known as MSN take full advantage with this piece of kit. You can use the write to text function. It also has realism as if it was a pen. It can use pressure sensitivity to help you with drawing. Pressure sensitivity can be used for 'opacity', 'thickness' and technique. Overall it's an amazing product. Don't look back. The only set back is probably the size of the tablet. But it doesn't bother me! If it does, then try and find another Wacom product. It's my first and my last and I think it was money well spent!
  I don't use a mouse anymore! March 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Compact! Easy to use! Easy on the eyes!
I have been using it for a few years now and it's great.
It's small, and this is not a disadvantage. It's capable of everything an A3 can do and even better because it saves space.
Ocassionally, you might get a box that pops up saying "Tablet version mismatch" but it normally sorts itself out. If it doesn't then you just need to install the drivers again.
But apart from that, no problems, it's great! Only WACOM! :]
