I have used Systemworks for some time, but this edition was really difficult to install, and proceeded to take over my system - slowing it down significantly in the process. I have taken it out and put in BitDefender (outstanding), and will run the utilities, if I need them, from the CD.

I had 2005 Systemworks and it worked brilliantly. After the subscription ran out I upgraded to the 2006 version. BIG MISTAKE. The start-up time for the computer increased from 1 min 25 sec to 16 min 15 sec (yes I timed it). Tried fiddling around with the different comonents to no avail. Uninstalled it and went back to the 2005 version and everything went smoothly again.
Total lack of support from Symantec soesn't help.

Okay, so I am no software or even puter guru but I found systemworks to do the defragmentation of my hard drives much faster than the windows tool does. I don't know why that is but it sure is a time saver!

It is amazing just how many useless files have gathered up on my HD every time I look at the temp folders, the cookies or browser cache. And it is just as amazing how neatly this software takes care of all these unnecessary waste of space and removes it to give me back the performance that I need. The improved defragmentation just adds to the value of SystemWorks and makes it worth every penny I spent on it.

I?ve been looking for a bundle of tools like this for some time now and I could even use NAV which is included because I only had some freeware-virus-software before. System Works is relatively cheap and all of the tools are very handy and easy to manage through the combined interface. This is a great solution for anybody who wants to tweak a little bit more performance out of their system.
