5 out of 5 stars Lovely but too much fighting for me...   April 25, 2008

I am fond of the 'looking from above' 'dungeon crawler' type of games. This is of that genre, and it's a good job done. The graphic is lovely looking, bright and colourful with lots of interesting temples and caves to enter and explore, and scenery on the countryside which is very realistic, especially the water effects which is the best looking I've yet seen. There's also nice sound effects, with birds and crickets at night etc... The treasure finding it fun also, once you discover to use the Alt key to show up the best treasure. As with most D&D type games, there's a bit too much fighting for me, I prefer puzzles, and some of this was explored with 'Dark Alliance' on the old XBOX, which was comparable in some ways, although there was too much brainless fighting on that as well. You can zoom down to the action low, on this one, although you can't swing around in the field of view, you'r limited to where your charater runs, to see things. It's a pity this game wasn't on the consoles as well, as it would lend itself to console controls also. Most seem to go for the first person view these days, which I find tedious for the genre, a D&D should be closer to the pen and paper days of gaming. The ancient Greek theme is good also.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent for what it is...   March 8, 2008

I'm giving this game five stars because for what it is, which is an easy to play RPG with lots of action and stunning graphics, it is excellent. Most of the game can be played with either a right or left click of the mouse and for a beginner to RPG or someone who wants a simple GUI I would look no further. However, if you want a game that has personality development and character interaction then this is not the game for you, and not that it's a bad thing it's just that as in most cases it is not possible for any one game to be all things to all people. I found this game fun to play and although it is linear to the extreme it this linearity which propels you through the game at a ripping good pace. So, all in all if you want a slick no fuss action RPG than I would recommend TQ.

5 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT MYTHOLOGY & GREAT FUN!!!   February 28, 2008

Sure this is what Diablo3 would have looked like - but this cannot be a bad thing!

Quite realistic graphics achieved even on medium range PCs (a 3year old machine with only the video card upgraded to a 7600GT can run it with everything on HIGH). I particularly liked that you can see the exact armor and weapons on your opponents and, after you killed them, everything drops for looting.

I am a great fun of D&D RPGs. In Titan Quest there is no deep background - except lots of excellent Mythology, CORRECTLY told for once. There is no "official 20-sided dice" getting thrown somewhere in the background - do you really care? Hack, slash, zap, burn and destroy. Loot, sell and buy. Repeat as needed.

You will surely enjoy it! GREAT FUN!!!
