Amazon.co.uk Review With 32 audio tracks, 4,000 spoken words, 2 virtual turntables, 30,000 samples and one megafamous Euro disco-doyen as on-disc producer, the Street Style eJay CD-ROM has everything you need to be your own rap or hip-hop music-maker. The central tool is the onscreen console. This enables you to load, erase, save, stretch, animate, mix, boost and generally muck about with those 4,000 on-CD music bytes. soul, funk and R&B sounds are included along with the rap and hip-hop fundamentals. As with other eJay software the music comes ready-synchronised and pre-harmonised, so the layering and mixing process is surprisingly easy and enjoyable once you've mastered the basic functions. And when you're bored of the basics, the more Advanced Applications, like the Mixer and the FX Studio, allow you to whip up your own music, bend it into the overall sound, add choruses, reverb, echo, and so on. All very gratifying. What makes this CD-ROM stand out from the others is DJ Tomekk, a true Groovemaster General of our time. Tomekk (proper name Tomasz Kuklicz) has worked with such luminaries as Kurtis Blow, Wyclef Jean, and Cypress Hill, which means the music on Street Style eJay, much of it moulded by him, avoids some of the corporate blandness one occasionally associates with other "homebrew" music software. Nice one. --Sean Thomas

One of the best Ejay programs EVER... May 5, 2002 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
...well, at least in my opinion anyway! If you love R'n'B music, and dream of making your own smooth groove, then look no further! What can I say? The royalty-free samples are excellent, from the bass lines to the heartfelt vocals - all BPM matched to ensure they'll go together. Import your own samples, export your music as an audio file on your hard drive. Really easy to use with a 'drag & drop' interface. Create your own scratches and drum loops.I can't really say much about Street Style in depth, but just buy it for yourself and see. It includes several demo tracks to give you a taste of what can be done. A smooth, soulful addition to the Ejay family - one which (if you like the music style) you won't be disappointed in getting. Highly recommended!

At last eJay have added a funky, soulful product to their excellent range of music creation packages. Some great loops and effects make this their most enjoyable title for me. Some of the vocals are a bit dodgy (and perhaps a bit European!) but apart from that it is a very worthy addition to the 'family'...nice!
