Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.co.uk Review
Your children will thoroughly enjoy the software version of Dr Seuss's classic Green Eggs and Ham.

While Sam's story is best-suited for toddlers and pre-schoolers, older siblings can still enjoy playing the included games for a time or two as well. Required mouse skills are basic, so even younger users should be able to play on their own. Clear, bright images are nearly identical to the original book illustrations, with the simple animation providing new excitement as the story builds to its "surprising" climax.

With Dr Seuss's excellent combination of phonics and word repetition, your children will receive a great introduction to crucial early-reading skills. --Jill Lightner

4 out of 5 stars Watch to OS system   November 10, 2007
Excellent product - we moved onto it from softkey's ABC by Dr Seuss which is our favourite - this is v.g. too.

However 'freezes' when played on windows XP. So stick to the OS systems it says it supports.

5 out of 5 stars Brings Dr Seuss to life   March 5, 2004

Our (nearly) three-year-old has been a fan of Dr Seuss's since we first started reading him books, and this game has given him the opportunity to explore one of his favourite books for himself. Not only did it give him the incentive to master using the mouse (actually, the trackpad on a laptop - he has to use two fingers at once, as a single finger is too small to register!) but he learned how to start-up and shutdown XP so that he could play the game when no-one was around to help.

The animation, music and voices are excellent, but it's the mini-games that he keeps coming back to - particularly the memory game, which he'll play time and time again. Best of all, the game works well both on PC and Mac, meaning that he can play it on his mammy's laptop or on mine, depending on which is available. The game runs in Classic on OS X, but works fine.

If Green Eggs And Ham had been twice the price, it would still have been worth every penny. Highly, highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Read   February 26, 2004
We have had hours of fun with this book. My children are 3 and 4 and we have to read this every night and throughout the day. Great pictures and great story. These books are what have got my son reading.

The humourous animation, true-to-original characters, hidden surprises, engaging games and wonderful muscial score make this my 2 year old's all time favourite. Even the demos included with the software are excellent and playable in their own right!

5 out of 5 stars Humourous and Enjoyable.   April 29, 2002

I think this an excellent buy for 2-4 year olds. Very well drawn, and true to the original style and humour of Dr. Seuss.
Our 3-year old is autistic, but loves the interaction between the characters.

In the same living books range, I also recommend "the Tortoice and the Hare."
