5 out of 5 stars It Helped Me To Switch   October 8, 2008

It doesn't matter which magazines you buy that are for Apple computers, the brainwashing starts straight away, such is Apple's marketing skill.

So when I was considering buying an Apple laptop, I wanted to find something 'independent' and the Dummies guide appealed.

The advice inside was clear, and they are impartial. It pointed out a few downsides to Apple computers, but there certainly aren't many of those. To coin a phrase, a liked the book so much I went out and bought the computer. Occasionally I dip back into it just to clarify a few points, but in my expereince Apple computers do just work. It appears the marketing isn't all brainwashing. It's true.

This is a useful book at allaying your fears if you're fed up with Microsoft and are considering switching to Macs.
