4 out of 5 stars A basic introduction...   August 21, 2008

This book is aimed in the most part toward those who are looking into completing a CBT course. As such it did provide me with a run down of want to expect on the course, how its structured and what you'll need to complete in order to pass. The layout is good overall with short bullet points and diagrams/photographs to assist in explanations of the course content. I found the book very helpful in research before going for the test, and subsquent chapters also deal with the theory test and the practical bike test should you want to go for a full bike licence.

Please be aware this is a short guide only, if do you need anything more in depth you need to purchase 'The Official DSA Guide to Riding: The Essential Skills' For information about the CBT it is good.

1 out of 5 stars Fairly Useless   September 13, 2007

I bought this book, as i have passed my CBT over a year ago, and i am about to start lessons. I bought this book to cach up on informaytion that i may have forgotten, but have found it to be fairly useless. All this book tells you, is what topics and items your CBT will cover, and not actually the informaytion itself. For example, with breaking, it will just say "your instructer will explain breaking to your during your CBT", and it will not tell you how you should be breaking. The whole book is like this. They should of only used one page, and said "CBT: the examiner will explain to you, what you do when you get there", and left it at that. I say this book is fairly useless, becasue you could used it as a coaster, or to stop your table rocking. I say buy this book if you want to find out what you will be learning on your CBT/test, but you will be told that during you CBT, and would therefore just be waisting your money.
